Secret #11

It's been so long since I poured my heart out, that I forgot it still beats.

Virgin

A virgin girl was always teased by her classmates. All of them had experiences in bed except her. One time she got angry, and said:

“I can be like you anytime I want. But no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be like me anymore.”

Secret #10

Music is part of what feeds me. I physically could not live without it. I don't mean music that is on the radio every 5 seconds, or "teeny-bopper" songs. I mean songs that either have a profound impact on my life, or the lyrics, composition, and sound are just breathtaking. Songs like -

I'm In Here - Sia

All I Wanted - Paramore

Brick By Boring Brick - "

The Only Exception - "

Bad Romance - Lady Gaga

Cosmic Love - Florence + The Machine

The Dog Days Are Over - "

Heavy In Your Arms - "

Hometown Glory - Adele

Daydreamer - "

First Love - "

Corner Of Your Heart - Ingrid Michaelson

There are countless others, but these are a few that are most played.

Noble Tears

“When someone is crying, of course, the noble thing to do is to comfort them. But if someone is trying to hide their tears, it may also be noble to pretend you do not notice them.”

Letter From Dr. King

“Perhaps it is easy for those who have never felt the stinging dark of segregation to say, “Wait.” But when you have seen vicious mobs lynch your mothers and fathers at will and drown your sisters and brothers at whim; when you have seen hate-filled policemen curse, kick and even kill your black brothers and sisters; when you see the vast majority of your twenty million
Negro brothers smothering in an airtight cage of poverty in the midst of an affluent society; when you suddenly find your tongue twisted and your speech stammering as you seek to explain to your six-year-old daughter why she can’t go to the public amusement park that has just been advertised on television, and see tears welling up in her eyes when she is told that Funtown is closed to colored children, and see ominous clouds of inferiority beginning to form in her little mental sky, and see her beginning to distort her personality by developing an unconscious bitterness toward white people; when you have to concoct an answer for a five-year-old son who is asking: “Daddy, why do white people treat colored people so mean?”; when you take a cross-county drive and find it necessary to sleep night after night in the uncomfortable corners of your automobile because no motel will accept you; when you are humiliated day in and day out by nagging signs reading “white” and “colored”; when your first name becomes “nigger,” your middle name becomes “boy” (however old you are) and your last name becomes “John,” and your wife and mother are never given the respected title “Mrs.”; when you are harried by day and haunted by night by the fact that you are a Negro, living constantly at tiptoe stance, never quite knowing what to expect next, and are plagued with inner fears and outer resentments; when you are forever fighting a degenerating sense of “nobodiness” then you will understand why we find it difficult to wait. There comes a time when the cup of endurance runs over, and men are no longer willing to be plunged into the abyss of despair. I hope, sirs, you can understand our legitimate and unavoidable impatience.”

Towering Over Your Head

I'm not coming back
(Forgive me)
I've done something so terrible
I'm terrified to speak
(I'm not calling, I'm not calling)
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt
(You're driving me crazy)
Now the rain is just washing you out of my hair
And out of my mind
Keeping an eye on the world
From so many thousands of feet off the ground
I'm over you now
I'm at home in the clouds, towering over your head

I guess I'll go home now
I guess I'll go home now

Random Thoughts

School can be hard.

Math is the devil.

Love is one of the strangest, and most twisted things on earth. I love lots of people, but I can't tell if I'm *in* love. In case you didn't know: there's a difference.

I, just want to be loved, by you. I see nothing worse, than to sail this universe, without you.

Music is life.

Life is wonderful.

People are dumb. Like, astoundingly ignorant.

Your friends will let you down.

The angrier I am, and the more I feel as if I'm justified in the situation, the more my fury turns info a white justification equivalent to 1,000 suns.

I don't talk to my older sister that often :( I'm working on that.

My music teacher is thinking of letting me do a recording session with him. Like, in a professional studio. I'm excited.

Tia is one of the few friends who listen, and who i can tell absolutely *anything* to. She should become a therapist. And we also have similar love lives.

If my dog, Bentley, wasn't so darn cute, I would have thrown him out long ago.

There are few banes to my existent.

All rumors eventually die.

I'm a leader whether I like it or not.

I know less than 5 people who share my excellent taste in music. A travesty, I assure you.

Hahahahahaha, I can't post all of my thoughts on here.

I feel like I'm ready to date and drive. My parents don't.

I want to go to college. Right now. As I type this.

My ultimate, ultimate dream job, would be as a band member of Florence's Machine.

I am not perfect. It's impossible to be so. I have to remember that.

PEOPLE ARE SO DUMB!

People can, and do, change.

I'm a talented musician. This isn't so much bragging as it is a thrilling personal realization.

I am a movie junkie.

My friends are amazing. And very supportive. And always surprising.

I think that I like the Steelers more than the Ravens. Something about all of the purple and black this weekend make me want the Steelers to beat those little birds black and blue.

Lastly, my mind is a swirling vortex of quirks, thoughts, and random nonsensicalities. Yes. I did make that word up.
